Secure payment process
Understand how escrow protects both parties and when funds are released.
Escrow basics
When a booking is created, it starts in 'awaiting handoff' status—no payment is charged yet.
After handoff verification is completed, the booking moves to 'payment pending' and the sender's payment is processed and held in escrow.
Once payment is confirmed, the booking status changes to 'in transit' and the traveler can proceed with delivery.
If a delivery is cancelled before handoff verification, no payment is charged.
Payment and release timing
Payment is processed after handoff verification is completed, not when the booking is first created.
Funds are held in escrow throughout the delivery process to protect both parties.
After delivery is confirmed, the booking moves to 'delivered' status, and then to 'payout released' when funds are transferred to the traveler.
Disputes pause the payout until support reviews the evidence.
